Our Services
Natural Burial

A natural burial is a gentle return to nature. One who is buried in this fashion is laid to rest in a container/wrap that can decompose, such as a pine box or cotton muslin shroud. Individuals who choose this option opt out of embalming, the use of concrete vaults, and conventional decorative caskets. Graves are marked by natural field stones and/or a native planting rather than polished monuments set in concrete. Families are allowed to participate in all aspects of the natural burial service itself at all Steelmantown Cemetery Company facilities. If one wishes, they may help lower their loved one into the earth and help back-fill their grave. The end goal of a natural burial is to honor a loved one in a way that supports healing for families and the environment.
Tree of Life

Tree of Life is a living memorial that honors a loved one's memory while also giving back to the environment. It entails mixing cremains into the soil and then planting a native tree or shrub on top. This process creates a carbon offset to the carbon footprint of one's life and cremation.
